Thanks for your interest in having your group volunteer for Sacramento Food Bank
& Family Services (SFBFS). We really enjoy inviting groups down to SFBFS to volunteer
in our programs to share the service experience.
We can accommodate groups of 10-15 volunteers at once, but are happy to accommodate
smaller or larger groups if necessary. Groups are most often divided into smaller
teams of 2-4 and placed in the distribution programs (Food Assistance, Clothing,
Mother-Baby and warehouse) because individuals can begin volunteering immediately
and no specialized training is required
This calendar reflects open volunteer opportunities based on date and SFBFS site.
All of these volunteer opportunities are from 10am-1:30pm.
Groups who sign up for one of the following dates will arrive at SFBFS at 9:00am,
take a tour, receive a brief orientation and then volunteer from 10-1:30.

If you are only available to volunteer with your group on the weekend we have two

on the Sunday Lunch Hotline to inquire about volunteer availability.
* Mobile Food program - two Saturdays each month 8:00-11:30am. Call (916) 628-8812
and speak with Nathan McDonald to inquire about volunteer availability.
